Linda,
Regarding #1884 (Dropped ball hits player before ground), I believe this rule changed slightly in 2019. If the dropped ball hits you or your equipment, but ends up in the drop area, you do not re-drop?
Lulu from Hercules, California
Dear Lulu,
A ball that is dropped in the wrong way (such as a ball that hits you or your equipment before it hits the ground) must be dropped again in the right way. If the player does not re-drop, and instead hits the ball, she incurs one penalty stroke if the ball is subsequently hit from within the relief area, and two penalty strokes if the ball is hit from outside the relief area [Rule 14.3b(3)].
If the ball hits you, your equipment, or any other person or outside influence after it hits the ground, and remains in the relief area, there is no penalty and the ball must not be re-dropped [Rule 14.3c(1)].
Linda
