What is the rule in the following scenario:
Player A hits his ball on the fairway some distance ahead of
Player B. Player B then plays his second shot, which then hits Player A's ball
and moves it forward by 20 meters. Should Player A replace his ball to the
original position or play it from where it now lies (after being moved by
Player B's ball)? Is Rule 18-5 applicable here?

Dear Lou,
Yes. Rule 18-5 will apply to Player A; Rule 19-5 will apply
to Player B.
Player A, the player whose ball at rest was moved by another
ball in motion, must replace his ball [Rule 18-5]. Player B, whose ball in
motion struck the ball at rest, must play his ball as it lies [Rule 19-5a].
