Linda, if I tee my golf ball up 2 club-lengths behind the tee markers, am I allowed to hit it around the tee markers via slice, hook, draw etc.? Or does my ball path have to go in between the two markers? I know the obvious answer would be it would not matter, but after thinking about it for a while I was on the fence about it.
Lou
Dear Lou,
Once your ball is properly teed within the teeing ground, the direction of your tee shot is up to you. The Rules of Golf can tell you where to tee your ball, but they have no say with regard to where you hit it.
