Is it legal to shorten the shaft length of my irons? In other words, can I make my 3-5 irons the same length as my 6-iron?

Dear Lou,
Your clubs must conform to the Equipment Rules. The overall length of any club must be at least 18 inches and no more than 48 inches (except putters) [Equipment Rules, Part 2, Section c]. There is no Rule that requires different clubs to have shafts of different lengths. Any or all of your clubs may have shafts of the same length.
