Linda, am I penalized if I leave my ball in the hole after
sinking my putt and other players hole out on top of it?

Dear Lou,
No penalty, Lou, but you must remove it if you are requested
to do so. It’s acceptable to leave your ball in the hole in a casual round to
help speed up pace of play, but it would be improper and discourteous in a
competition.
